Hello Michael, We have a PLDT DSL here at the office and we pay around 4K a month. Like the rest us, the rate is for "business".
During our first few months of the subscription, link goes down frequently. I called support almost once a day. Unlike Globe (who answers hotline atleast 30mins), you should have someone talking to you in less than a minute. Problem was my modem was going out of sync/reset everynow and then (DSL LED goes off). At first, I thought there's something wrong with the quality of copper we have at the area. I was shocked to find out from one of the tech support that I only have 6dbm SNR, I was even more shocked to find out they can actually adjust SNR if needed. At first tech support insisted he cant change SNR because I only have 1MB plan. But I am more persistent, to tell him I'm not paying for SNR, I am paying for quality of line and bandwidth. So if someone's problem is related to mine, you might want to have your SNR checked. A good SNR is above 20. Btw, on my PLDT modem, there's no way I can find the SNR. But in other providers (globe etc), the modem has a web interface where you see DSL parameters. I hope that helps others.
