In my experience, Smart Bro has been VERY reliable over the almost-two
years I've had it.

Downtime maybe once a month, and always at night (bad for me, but good
for business). The only problem is that it's been crawling recently.

My Globe connection started badly, they gave me a 15-day free trial
and it died three times during those 15 days. Made me throw a fit
because I could not cancel my Smart Bro link until they stabilized it.

It's been stable now, more or less. But it still goes down perhaps
once a week, at night (I have no idea during the day because I'm not
home during the day).

But I'm not complaining. When I first started out all of PHNet had
64kbps of bandwidth. When I started in Mozcom in 1996 all of Mozcom
had 256kbps (clear channel).

So 1.5Mbps for 999 pesos... nevermind if it's interface rate.
Nevermind if I only get 1/3rd of that on a regular basis. For someone
who worked in an ISP for a long time, it's still (relatively)
fantastic.

Use Eastern if you can we get an outage once a Year.. Just check speeds to the
sites you want to access primarily since the Routing between the ISP's here

Don't know how much we pay and i don't care because the service is so good for
what we do.

In line with this, I'd like to request for opinions for getting a new DSL line, since I'm planning to move from Pasig to San Juan area. Currently using PLDT MyDSL... Speed is so so... But I have a a public dynamic IP and I can host Internet services..

My requirements:

1. Publicly accessible Internet address (preferably static)
2. Can host any Internet services on standard ports (e.g. 80, 443,25,53,21) 3. Reliable speed (http://www.dslreports.com/im/41879412/1732.png). My current package is the PhP 3000 pesos. 4. Package price should be less or the same as my current package.

Frankly speaking I think I'm getting the full worth for the amount I'm paying. But since I do have the ability to host Internet services then I'm not complaining that much nowadays

Thanks a lot
