as far as i know... smart is building their own ecosystem...  the
battle of mobile supremacy is in the ecosystem space and i think smart
is heading towards on that... but it is much better to let any smart
representatives here in plug (i know who you are hehehe) to say
something about their planned ecosystem....

on the other hand.. android marketplace is fragmented and WAC
(Wholesale Application Community) is an answer to that
fragmentation...netphone is the first android smartphone to support
WAC platform which promises developers to write applications once to
any carrier, device or operating system... but some analysts say that
this will fail as what happened to java and symbian before... but we
will see what it goes..

furthermore... near field communication (NFC) is starting to adopt by
the industry for mobile payment...
