Now.... That would be like saying Linux is not truly open because you can't use 
Red Hat Network on your Ubuntu installation.

Most of the applications the Android Marketplace are not opensource anyway, so 
I don't see why having access to closed source paid apps over there is more 
open or there's more Freedom on those platform.

Anyway, the Android Marketplace is not the only way you can install 
applications. There are several "appstores" for Android, or you can sideload 
Android APKs or NPKs yourself without using any of those "appstores". Now 
that's freedom.

why is it that Filipinos are not allowed to buy stuff on the marketplace on
Android? Apple App Store actually allows me to purchase solutions. I thought
open source was about freedom?
