If by  inaction you mean that  they aren't letting the  free market (aka
the invisible  hand) develop  new energy  solutions by  eliminating laws
that prohibit companies from providing what consumers need, then I would
agree.

But isn't this the natural  tendency of Democracy; elected officials who
serve their  own interests  in shorter  amounts of  time? Just  like the
natural progression of Socialism is economic ruin.
