I do. I believe that the app was adjusting the volume higher in a
(misguided) effort to reflect the "fixed at 100%" setting. You may have
noticed that the first volume command sent to the plugin was "100"
which, combined with the max volume plugin setting of +15, resulted in
an absolute volume of 95dB being sent to the AVR, an event that I'm
pretty sure would have caused damage to my speakers and/or my eardrums.

Not really. My speakers are on stands so I could just pull out the
banana plugs on the back. I've thought about how I would go about using
the Squeeze Ctrl app if I decide to purchase it for testing purposes and
the first thing I would do is to change the maximum volume plugin
setting to something like -50, adjusting it upwards from there as
needed.
