You can set more than +/-12dB by editing the settings or presets file;
but if you have several closely spaced frequency bands at LF it still
won't necessarily follow the settings exactly.

This is because the EQ filters are fixed length, and relatively short
(8192, I think).  In a later build I plan to make the filter length
vary according to the frequency range needed, to get better precision
in low-frequency EQ.

No, room correction filters built with DRC or Acourate are generally
much longer (32768 or more), so have a very precise effect on bass.
