The same result: 297 versus 657 tracks. I had a closer look in the Custom Browse playlist and it seems that many songs appear at least twice... erland;258728 Wrote: > Does the same problem also occur when you hit play on a "artist" or on > a "genre" that contains less number of tracks ? When using other artists or genres, in general what happens is: the smaller the playlist the quicker the response. But it still is quite annoying, especially the fact that the remote freezes for some time. erland;258728 Wrote: > You can create a dynamic playlist as you described in 2. Today you need to hold > play button down for a while to reach it I think it would be absolutely great to have that included (at least as an option, to avoid any disappointed users): So in that case, hitting the play button could automatically launch a preselected dynamic playlist (which a user can choose/define in the Dynamic/SQLPlaylist Web UI): -Custom Browse -> Artist -> Hitting Play button starts preselected artist related dynamic playlist -Custom Browse -> Year -> Hitting Play button starts preselected year related dynamic playlist -Custom Browse -> Genre -> Hitting Play button starts preselected genre related dynamic playlist -Custom Browse -> Custom Tag -> Hitting Play button starts preselected custom tag related dynamic playlist The Play+hold option could remain functional, as it brings you to the complete list of available dynamic playlists to choose from. I must admit I don't have a clue what this would mean in terms of programming... -- RoyE ------------------------------------------------------------------------ RoyE's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14704 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=41152 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
