This looks really interesting - although I've been a major proponent of DVBShout it was a pretty even choice between this and GetStream when I first started - DVBShout was simply the one I chose to work with first and did the job. One advantage of GetStream is that the main developer seems to have kept enhancing and updating, so I'm certainly open to changing tack if there are benefits.
A few questions: 1) Can DVBServer simply relay the native 48kHz MP2 DVB-T audio content through to clients without any transcoding? This is what I'm doing at the moment and as a result the server load is minimal, even with multiple concurrent clients. I'd like to keep this option if possible. 2) Is there any extraction and visibility of the EIT (Programme Information) data with this solution? One thing I've always wanted to do is to display the current programme name on the Squeezebox display (as per DABBar), which would need a fair few changes to DVBShout to achieve. If this was available I'd change to DVBServer tomorrow. Glad to see alternatives emerging - what server hardware platform are you running on and which DVB-T stick are you using?
