Well ... I'm short of ideas now. What you can do is manually install the plugin by unzipping it in (I think) /var/lib/squeezecenter/plugins LMS 7.7.5 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2.
