Yeah, I was having a discussion with a gentleman the other day in a waiting room...
You could tell most, if not all there were Liberals, and when we started discussing Energy the guy asked how the Oil Companies could have so much "unproductive" land leases... After I explained that any Lease that was not currently producing Oil was considered "unproductive" and that exploring, building platforms anddrilling were not considered "productive" in terms of the Lease producing Oil, and that much of the land is in one way or another being "used" and either being readied for drilling, or proving it would not be a productive site. Also, after explaining that the Chinese were now assisting Cuba to Drill sideways into Reserves we won't do for ourselves, and explaining that the Chinese and Cubans were basically stealing our Oil, while we won't go Drill for it ourselves, I could see that some of them, most by my count, did not know ANY of this, and soon they were all asking questions... I was happy to tell them that letting us Drill for Oil would produce high paying Energy Jobs, while giving us the time to build Green Industries to replace Oil, and stop sending $700 Billion a year to people who don't like us much.
