Let's see. the church I went to as a youth had an office staff and secretary to the Monsignor. There were also people who cleaned the buildings and kept the grounds, I would assume they we paid for that!!! My Mom worked as a secretary for a Rabbi for many years, I do believe she was a paid employee!!!
