My Mom worked for the Temple technically, they are run like a business!!! You keep sidestepping those multimillion dollar preachers, that is a business!!! I imagine they have a staff that gets paid to put on their fancy shows!!!
My Sister belongs to a Christian church in Jupiter that is a multimedia extravaganza ... they were looking for a graphic artist recently and my Sister wanted me to apply and move down there to Florida ... other that the actual job part you were required to promote the church and it's teachings ... aside from my dislike for heat and Florida, that would be a deal breaker ... I keep my work and spirituality separate!!! Perhaps you belong to a small little charitable church that has nobody getting paid but the preacher .. but i think you may be seeing things through different colored lenses than I do!!!
