I will break my rule and play along here..... Under the proposed "new" Fairness Doctrine, the government would restrict a broadcaster that is broadcasting on the public airwaves, from putting out a marketable product, in this case, conservative talk radio, without putting on an (equal in time, duration, and format) unmarketable product, e.g.; for lack of a better term, "liberal talk radio".
As you well know, the goal of these idiotic Congressmen and Senators, is to silence conservative talk radio, plain and simple. They know that liberal radio is a failure, and is not something that Americans have chosen to listen to. No advertiser is going to buy time on such a program. How is it that you have come to believe that such a proposed policy (and I quote) is "free speech for all not just some!" ? In other words, you are advocating that the government mandate to broadcasters who utilize the public airwaves to put on products that are un-marketable. First, the proposed new Fairness Doctrine will be applicable to all of the public airwaves, and I'm telling ya Lil' Mikey, you and your socialist brethren are biting off more than they can chew here, if Moonbats in Congress go forward with this, (and as I have stated, I don't think they are that stupid) Such legislation will open up the floodgate of litigation, thereby forcing the four major broadcasters, e.g.; FOX CBS, NBC and ABC in all likelihood to revamp not only their radio broadcasts, but their television broadcasts. Conservatives will force the Fairness Doctrine to be applied to all facets of the public airwaves, and it will forever change the way that you and other Moonbats receive your Moonbat theories, and regurgitated liberal spin. The major Broadcasters will be out of the news broadcasting business, because they will be forced to give a fair, balanced news reporting show, (much like FOX News does today) and entertainment television will change, in that any controversial subject matter with those "hidden agenda" messages that the Hollywood socialist-elitists have been utilizing for the past two decades will be subject to the Fairness Doctrine, and a battery of lawyers who are chomping at the bit to challenge such legislation! I for one, welcome the Fairness Doctrine! I see my billable hours going up ten fold!
