we have mule deer here. In this province they are currently so numerous that hundreds are killed on the highways. The medical info. on moose, comes with hunting information. Bull moose are also notorious for attacking small cars, When out of season, it is necessary to be wary of them when driving at night. Under those circumstances, the meat usually does not offset the cost of the car repairs. With so many out of work, many families will be eating wild meat this winter. I saw a film about the 'ghost reindeer' of the Nome area, and was intrigued. If you check with the National Geographic, or any encyclopaedia, you would find that caribou, and reindeer are native North American and North Eurasian subspecies. that feed on lichens etc. through ou the northern regions, and at one time as far south as Maine. Of course many lawns are now being ornamented with the red nosed version these days.
