Holly, There is some truth in what you say. I would be in favor of doing away with the federal government agencies, and dealing with a Union any day, as most businessmen would.
I used to espouse and advocate "the stewardship of the federal government" in certain situations, like protection of the environment, the exploration of space, the prevention of diseases, etc. I was wrong. The federal government has no business involved in any of these matters, and they have fucked up everything that they have ever touched. Name one thing the federal government does well?
