KIT, Yeah, that's what I said. The Congress was Republican controlled when the Patriot Act was passed. So, what your saying is that when the Patriot Act was first passed all those "most conservatives who were up in arms" could not do a thing to stop it even with a Republican Congress.
later those same (for the most part) Republicans who were apparantly STILL "up in arms" still could not stop passage with a Democrat controlled Congress. That would lead to one of two conclusions: Either these republicas/ conservatives are completely incompetent, impotent fuck-ups OR they just really weren't NEARLY as "up in arms" as you would like us to believe. BTW, did you miss the question where I asked how many of those OUTRAGED Republicans/Conservatives actually voted against the ORIGINAL Patriot Act?
