UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL.
The greater the hardships that people experience, the more they will
expect from the groups with which they’re affiliated. Those
experiencing hardships—such as being out of work—often look to
government either for a job, or for monetary relief. During his
campaign, Barack Obama promised “jobs” and “tax breaks” for the middle
class. They rewarded him for those promises by “electing” him
President. Now, his supporters are impatient to have the ‘free’
things that Obama promised.
Presently, Obama is experiencing a bounce in the polls following his
being named this year’s winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. What that
says is: About half of the population still clings to the hope that
government is this magic cornucopia that will always provide. Since
Democrats control both houses of Congress, Democrats figure their time
has come to sock-it-to rich individuals and successful business
interests. In the process, generations of Americans are being
indebted so that the crying Democrats can get their rewards from
government.
During the 9/12 rallies, numbers of older Americans said that
hardships being placed on them, personally, were more tolerable than
the thought of government placing hardships on their children and
grandchildren. Because of Obama’s spend-craziness thus far in his
presidency, economic considerations are now outweighing the had-seemed-
desirable goals such as having a better system of health care in this
country. But Congress and the President aren’t heeding the call to
retreat… Those fools mistakenly believe that government is the USA
and that they are in charge. Until the 40% to 50% of Americans who
blindly supported Obama finally see-the-light, the nation-killing
legislation that’s likely to continue coming from Washington will be
sealing our fate.
One-way-wrong-way Obama is bent on destroying the last vestige of a
work ethic in this country. By his magic… redistribution of wealth,
he plots getting re elected. He promised those things which weren’t
his to give in order to get “elected” in 2008. And he’s continuing to
make those same type economic promises. Senior Americans won’t be
getting a cost-of-living increase in Social Security next year,
because the cost of living didn’t go up this year. Barack Obama said…
“How terrible!” and immediately starts promising 13 billion dollars or
so to dole out to seniors so that they will begin to side with… him.
Seniors lived and survived before government got a mind-of-its-own.
They know what budgets are and they know that families nor this nation
can long survive by living beyond their means. They also can
recognize an Obama BRIBE when they see one. And it’s a bribe that
shifts the debt to children not yet born…
America is more polarized by disparate group interests during hard
times. Obama and the Democrats think it’s perfectly fine to take from
the rich to give to the lazy poor. But remove the incentive to be
successful, and you remove the incentive to start new businesses and
create new jobs. When the taxes on a typical family exceeded 1/3rd of
their gross income, the USA had passed the threshold to socialism.
Give too many people meal tickets, and there won’t be anyone left to
pay the cost.
Glenn Beck’s red hot-line phone to the White House has yet to be
used. Democrats are perfectly happy to generalize that “Republicans”
have been misrepresenting things, but they aren’t willing to say what
those things are. It would come as a shock to Obama and Congress to
learn that my New Constitution requires that our elected
representatives SERVE ALL OF THE PEOPLE, regardless of their
ideology. To wit:
“… Article 1:
Section 1 & 2: Legislative power shall be vested in the House of
Representatives. Members shall be Citizens at least 25 years old who
have been residents of their respective states for 7 or more years and
for the entire year prior to election. Except for military service, a
representative shall not have held any full-time public office nor
government employment, nor shall he or she be sponsored by a political
party. Representatives’ districts shall have clearly defined, regular
shaped geographical boundaries drawn without regard to the race,
creed, age, nor political ideology of the residents therein.
Boundaries may be redrawn from time to time, but the number of
representatives shall not exceed 500. When vacancies happen in the
representation from a state, the executive authority thereof shall
issue writs of election to fill such. The House shall choose its
speaker and other officers without regard to political affiliation,
seniority or ideology. With the assent of 33% it can impeach and try
impeachment. With the assent of 67%, it can convict and remove the
one tried from office, who is still liable and subject to other lawful
indictments, trials, judgments and punishments.
Representatives shall be elected to two year terms by the vote of
the People of their districts on the first Tuesday in November of even
number years, *** and shall fairly represent all blocs of their
electorate, or face expulsion. *** The House shall meet at the same
times and for no less than three months, nor more than six months of
each year, except that in times of war or internal crisis, such time
may be extended on a monthly basis with the assent of 60% of the
members. No House member shall serve more than 10 years in office,
but existing representatives with 6 plus years in office may seek one
additional two year term beyond the initial two year grace period
allowed for all existing House members. …”
Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are, hopefully, the last, largely
tacit, group spokespersons for Blacks. My New Constitution empowers
all law-abiding Citizens while disempowering and even criminalizing
those who would claim to speak on a group’s behalf. Doing the latter
is essentially lobbying, which shall be outlawed. And since group
influences aren’t democratic, nor fair, and because groups polarize
and divide this country, those will be disallowed from having undue
influence on government. But not-to-worry! No spokespersons will be
needed if the rightful influence of one-person-one-vote is allowed to
determine our laws and course as a nation! Disparate Americans have
far more in common than you may realize.
Under my New Constitution Rush Limbaugh can’t be denied an opportunity
to purchase an NFL team because he exercised (or exercises) free
speech. Such wouldn’t be fair, nor democratic! But having Rush
continue to belly-ache about liberal vs. conservative issues would be
in direct violation. NBC News, CNN and etc., and any so-called
conservative talk radio or etc. will be disallowed. To wit:

1st Amendment: No law shall be made regarding the establishment of
peaceable religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, but
government, its campaigns, processes, slogans, and disbursements shall
be secular. *** No law nor private or civil action shall abridge: the
freedom of speech; the freedom of a fair and pro-democracy press or
other medium ***; the right of People to peaceably assemble; and the
right of any Citizen or group to petition government or any of its
branches or departments for redress of grievances. Citizens so
petitioning government shall receive appropriate, relevant, timely,
comprehensive, helpful and just responses from proper authorities who
have thoroughly read, understood, and addressed each salient aspect of
the grievances or requests for directions or clarifications. Failure
to so respond to a rightful petition for redress of a grievance shall,
on a single provable instance, terminate the apt one’s employment,
especially those in management or public office—including judges and
justices—who ignore, frustrate or give the run-around to any competent
Citizen who has been diligent in having a grievance properly
addressed, or in having his or her civil rights fully upheld. No
judge or justice shall presume that by performing the above required
duties, that they in any way might be compromising their objectivity
or fairness in court; justice be not “blind”, but well informed.
Freedom of the press or other medium mandates that there be reasonable
truthfulness in reporting. Wanton distortion of the truth, or
deliberate omission of the truth—except in cases of obvious fiction or
satire—is prohibited. Stating or implying that a particular news
medium has a collective voice (we) or position on any issue is
prohibited, as for example via: anonymous editorials; regularly
occurring accompanying comments; commentary programs financed by, or
ideologically screened by, the same news medium; editorials named as
being authored by management; editorial comments by others that are in
any way ideologically censored, omitted or screened; or by comments
occurring at specific times or designated locations that most would
come to associate with the management of such medium, even if such are
innocuous. No medium shall be a forum for promoting the ideology of
its management or owners, nor shall they employ anyone who uses such
job to hawk their personal political preferences—at risk of lose of
license or closure of the business. Flagrantly editing news to
promote the ideology of management is a felony. No medium shall
analyze, assess, summarize, or make subjective judgments about any
pending election or referendum. Nor shall they invite others outside
of the media to do so. But factual, thorough coverage of the
candidates or referenda issues—on an as occurs basis—is allowed,
provided there are no comments, nor actions, as above, and provided
the same unbiased coverage is given to all of the candidates or to all
of the referenda issues. It shall be a 10 year felony to repress
truthful news reporting in any medium by threatening legal action. No
medium can be sued for libel for presenting material authored by
others, but if a person is harmed by the medium’s content, they shall
be allowed to reply—without editing—in that medium. Each medium shall
respond to breaking news without considering the response of any other
medium. Injuries due to improper news coverage or non coverage shall
not be excused by the media response. A medium reporting on
government shall do so thoroughly, objectively, and with detachment—
being neither laudatory nor critical by form, and not repressing
thoughtful dissent nor its coverage. Every medium shall favor the
truth over supposition, without parity nor bias. False or deceptive
commercial advertising is prohibited. Deliberate use by any
candidate, their staffs or election committees, of false or deceptive
campaign speeches, slogans, advertisements, humor, or innuendo is a
felony. No organization, nor part of the media, nor any special
interest group(s) shall in any way endorse a slate of candidates for
public office; flagrant violation is a felony. No medium shall
display active public records without the free consent of the apt
parties. …”
Glenn Beck, “Mad” or not, because he isn’t siding with a particular,
now verboten, group interest, can continue pointing out those things
that are wrong in this country. “If” Beck has the motive of actually
seeing our problems get fixed, as by my New Constitution, he should
post these five simple questions on his chalkboard:
(1.) Is government responsive to the Will of the People?
(2.) Is government honest and trustworthy?
(3.) Does government consider who must pay the costs?
(4.) Should lobbyists have more influence on government than… the
People?
(5.) Can the needed changes be made by voting-in better congressmen?
When most Americans can answer each of those questions with a NO, then
the resolve will have been reached to ratify my New Constitution of
the United States of America. Please tell your friends, relatives and
associates that a South Carolina man has penned and polished a New
Constitution to finally put the People at the top of the pecking-order
