Alyssa listened, she'd never heard of Angel Island, maybe...."Is Angel Island in
Heaven," she asked her eyes growing very very large. She liked the idea of angels,
but didn't want to meet them. You had to die to do that. If this was Heaven, she
thought God needed to do some work, so new people didn't end up in beds with
strangers. That was really...what did mommy call it? Unorganized, yes that's what it
was.
"All right," the child agreed reluctantly slipping out of bed and dropping down to the
floor still holding ginny and watching Julia closely to make sure she didn't go far.
She caught the blank look on Derek's face that appeared during the vision. "Is he
okay?"
Derek blinked and answered with a slight smile "I'm fine and no, it's an island next
to California. San Francisco to be exact."
He stood and Julia did the same, offering Alyssa her hand and giving Derek a quick
look, knowing full well what the expression had meant but not wanting to ask infront
of Alyssa and possibly upset her.
Derek opened the door, Philip having already left to start a search, and stepped back
to let the two preceed him before following them out and closing the bedroom door
behind them.
They made their way to the kitchen and Julia guided Alyssa over to a stool at the
island before sitting in the one next to her, nodding in greeting to Dominic who
handed Derek a mug of coffee and looked at the other two curiously.
"Coffee for me please. Where's Anya?" Julia said, noticing the woman wasn't around.
"Leading vendors to storage places outside." the butler answered with a gentle smile
toward their newest guest "And who might you be?"
