Alex had been observing all of this with a nervous interest.  It had to be
one of the most amazing things she'd ever seen after all.  But it was hard
to say how she felt about it.  As Julia approached she watched her friend
carefully.  "He changed his mind and gave himself up to the Soulchaser to
save Nick.  Unfortunately, the Soulchaser wanted them both."

Julia turned, making the comment in regards to the Soulchaser and knowing it
would go a little ways toward clouding the issue of his belief on justice
and what he might or might not have done in regards to letting Jimmy out
this last time "Well, he's nothing if not ambitious in his position.  Did he
succeed?"
