Julia approached the bench, hands behind her back and
totally focused on the matter at hand - and that matter was getting Jimmy out of
hell and where he was supposed to be and make sure that the Soulchaser wasn't
able to be made to pay for what was happening.
"I ask that the witness present, because of his
affiliation with the prosecuting attorney and position of guarding the souls of
the damned, be considered a hostile witness."
This was, of course, something done to any witness that
was directly related to the 'team' either defending a person or prosecuting
them. It also lent unspoken creedance that the Soulchaser was doing the
only thing he could because he was now under order to answer anything she may
ask, no matter the nature of the question so long as it was relevant to the
case.
The same went for the lawyer. He could ask questions
but he couldn't ask the Soulchaser about his possible guilt or innocence in
Jimmy Boyle's escape.
"What is your position in the
netherworld?"
