Other Artists' Early Work (was Re: Dixie Chicks)

Who are some other artists who recorded things early on that either
they or their descendants may now consider emabarrasing? 

For instance, I recall reading how Marty Robbins recorded several sides
in the 50's under the name "Johnny Freedom" and that said
material was, um, fairly right-wing reactionary (though maybe not so for
the times).
