Netscape has nothing to do with .dmg files. It's like downloading an
.exe
file and wondering if Netscape has anything to do with why it won't
function
on a Mac. HTH
I too am having the same problem as Robert. I have tried everything
I can
think of to get the .dmg installer for OS 9.2.2 to work from the
Netscape 7.1 disk.
How does Toast decompress a .dmg suffix? JEG
.dmg files work with OS X. They'll work fine on a PCP if it's running
OS X. My old PTP with 10.1.5 handled .dmg files fine. I've never used
Toast to open .dmg files Apple's built in disk utility gets that job. I
have created them in Toast 6. and that works fine.
I have down loaded, Adobe, Apple and Stuffit Deluxe upgrades and
they
are all with a .dmg suffix. What is this crap. When I try to open
one
I get a "this program is not compatible with your system. My
system is
OSX and OS 9.2, whatsss happeninngg?
Don't know for sure, but .dmg handling is a preference in Stuffit. Be
sure you have "mount disk images" checked in the Stuffit preferences.
