It seems that the only machine that would be capable of handling the .dmg is your eMac. I'm not sure why it isn't.The browser has nothing to do with it.
Any upgrades that are 9.x compatible will not be in the .dmg format. Well, at least I haven't seen any. I would be VERY surprised if there were any. Did you install Disk Tracker on the eMac? There is an Apple Works updater for 9.x. I'm using 6.2.8 on a PCP (OS 9.1) I believe that the last compatible version of Adobe Reader for 9.x is 5.1. V.6 and above are for the Jungle Macs Again, I'm not sure why there is such a problem with .dmg files on your eMac. But even when you get that sorted out, don't expect them to work on your PTP. hth recently, Robert H. Baucom inscribed: > I'm using OS X on an eMac with 1Gig of RAM. The browser is Safari 1.0 > (I'd look for an upgrade but it would be an #$%#ing .dmg also. > > I'm trying to down load upgrades to put onto a CD and install on my OS > 9.1 PTP.
