Exactly! I trust you.
But dummy me - I still bought (actually, it was a gift - but THEY bought it!) another one. A new C64 which prints only black and cyan - no yellow or magenta.

I have owned two epson printers..bought an extended warranty on the first

paid me to take it. On the printers I had, the jets were part of the printer

get the jets clean again. There were some home made remedies I tried plus a
few of my own nothing worked. Seems they designed those printers to use a
steady stream of ink. If I didn't use mine every day the jets would start to
clog. I now own two HP printers where the jets are part of the ink cartridge
itself. When one clogs up at least I have the option of throwing it away and
getting a new one. Which by the way I have never had to do.

Trust me on this one.
Oh god!
I have an Epson C60 printer that rides around with me in my car. It is part of my work computer setup, and (aaargh!) its a hideous Toshiba Tecra PII-300 Windows laptop. My Commodore 64 is more ergonimic than this thing, and crashes less too :-(( But I digress..
The EPson C60 is very prone to get clogged jets, usually in the yellow one from my experience. Its just about impossible to clean them. This isn't helped by the fact that my company buys el-cheapo recycled ink carts. The printer is noisy, unreliable but refuses to really die so they won't upgrade to new ones. Plus, its in the car-which can get hot-making the problem worse :-(((
Now, for the Powertower specific part of this: I can't get any of my epson USB printers, the C60 or a nicer C64, to print properly via the USB card in my Mac. My digicam, mouse, and other things work just fine with this card. I get 'communication errors' or it simply hozes the box so bad I have to reinstall the OS on the boot partition. Is there any way around this problem? IS there a certain brand or chipset of USB card I should buy?
Does HP have drivers for OS 9 that don't suck?
Thanks
