Fermi 2 requests answers to the following. Thanks in advance!
1) Does your site have an empty pockets policy for entering the RRA? NO
2) Does your site have an empty pockets policy for exiting the RRA? YES
3) Are RadWorkers allowed to use the SAM when exiting the RRA for personal
items? YES
- What items are considered personal?
Clipboards
Small personal flashlights (4 batteries or less of size AA or smaller)
Work packages/maintenance documentation, paperwork, etc.
Gloves
Items worn clipped to the belt (e.g., pagers, radios, knives, multi-tools, and
keys)
Personal items carried in pockets (e.g., keys, comb, wallet, bill fold, coins,
etc.)
Small single lens cameras
4) Does you site allow personal gloves to be monitored in and out of RRA? YES
- Who performs the monitoring? Rad workers
5) What restrictions do you place on routine/standard tools entering and
exiting the RRA?
Standard tools are not allowed to exit without justification from tool
management supervisor
- Is this delineated in your procedures? YES
6) Are RP Techs responding to PCM or SAM alarms required to wear rubber
gloves? No
