Ginna response:

1) Does your site have an empty pockets policy for entering the RRA? No, but
Radworkers are trained not to take things in with them that they don’t need for
their job.

2) Does your site have an empty pockets policy for exiting the RRA? Yes

3) Are RadWorkers allowed to use the SAM when exiting the RRA for personal
items? Yes

     - What items are considered personal?

Keys, Wallet, Cell Phone, Radio, Pens, Pencils, Papers, Procedures, Work
Packages

4) Does you site allow personal gloves to be monitored in and out of RRA?

     - Who performs the monitoring?

No – Gloves are expected to remain in the RCA. If specialized gloves are
required and need to be released, RP will release them.

5) What restrictions do you place on routine/standard tools entering and
exiting the RRA?

Tools must be released by RP. There is a form to be filled out for items that
they bring in to the RCA and plan to take back out.

     - Is this delineated in your procedures?

yes

6) Are RP Techs responding to PCM or SAM alarms required to wear rubber gloves?
No
