Nope, no OC-ing here.

All except the PCIe supply. I have had it connected, but the system kept
failing anyway and according the manual it's only required when you're
running with two PCIe graphics cards.

I've taken care to balance disk and drives over all the PSU outputs
(it's got a lot of'em).

When the board was replaced, I took great care to clean both heatsink
and CPU for old thermal compound and whatever muck and dust had
collected, then applied a minimal amount of new thermal compound before
re-seating the CPU+heatsink.

That has been suggested before, but what sort of temperature spikes are
to be expected?  I also asked AMD if the supplied heatsink+fan were
considered adequate for cooling under full load, which they confirmed.

Well, I never get to run four copies of mprime for long enough.

I haven't applied the Linux patch, but I do have the patch in the BIOS.
Maybe I'll try the patch too - just in case.
