I had a look at those scans and the lines are identical to the ones I saw on a sample print that Canon sent to me a few months ago when I was considering buying the i9100, which makes me think that your i9100 is not the only one with this problem. I agree with Richard, throw it back at your supplier and demand a replacement, if that doesn't print properly get a full refund and don't take no for an answer, you're fully entitled to under EU consumer rights !
