Nigel,Ive been comparing my Toshiba with Richards albeit separated by a 100
miles or so
and I can run mine on my lap or,as is normal on any surface I can find.
I just do not get a heating problem at all,in fact I was pleasantly surprised
when I first
used it as its my first craptop and I really did not know just what to expect.
Its still dog slow compared with a std PC but It does what I bought it
for,running the
Kodak and backing up on site.
