For Camera RAW support you will need to wait for the 2.4 release which should be coming soon....
ACR has not been updated for the 1DsMkII yet.

Alternatives include Bibble which seems to have support already.

Before anyone thinks of blaming Adobe for being slow, remember that Canon don't help Adobe in any way shape or form. So to get Camera RAW support they have to beg, borrow or steal a camera or files in order to decode the format and profile the camera/files.

Indeed on the Pentax DP Review forum recently Thomas Knoll was requesting Pentax RAW files from users! Although Pentax are one of the better companies apparently.

This situation is one of the reasons to support the DNG format, I urge anyone who shoots RAW files or cares about the long term archival nature of their images to support Adobe's moves.

Go to http://rawformat.com and sign the petition. There are over 1000 signatures so far, but more are needed.

Perhaps Canon will one day be persuaded to play fair. But in the meantime bug them!!

We were in a hurry to get the EOS 1Ds Mark II for a trip to the Middle East.
The camera didn't arrive in time, probably fortunately because now that we
have it we have been unable to open the RAW files in CS.
