Hi Folks

Trying very hard not to panic but ......

Returned to old project - 1yr old / Canon 1DS / archived to CD.

Opened in C1Pro, installed yesterday ( v.3.5.2 / WIN XP ) and in the File
Browser atleast 50% of files have a dark band over 1/3 of frame. This looks
like it is 1 stop underexposed ! This was obviously not there originally.

Reopened in older v.3.5.1 and the banding is there also.

As a test I opened the File Browser of P/Shop CS - all images appear fine,
with no unusual banding !! Opens in Adobe Camera Raw and processes without
problem.

Have tried copying files from CD to H/drive and I still see this "dark band"
in both versions of C1 Pro. Checked usual archives/Help pages etc and no
apparent occurances of this problem elsewhere.

C1 works Ok with newer files on our system, but should I start to suspect
this CD ? Personally I am not sure the CD can be faulty as CS has no
problems, but ........

Tried both CD drives in main workstation and I get this problem - and 1 of
those drives wrote the CD originally !!

Just to check I also tried my laptop - C1 v.3.5.1 / WIN XP - and files are
all fine ... phew !!

Now I am confused, can anybody shed light into the darkness ?

Cheers
