Yeah, that was major. My most recent TP (~100,000 frequent flyer miles, eight months out of warranty, sheared hinge screws, dead wireless card, dead USB ports, answers to "Lucky") did not get fixed, so I've been reminded I need to have some alternative plans here. I was pricing out a TP X60p at EmperorLinux (configured, installed and ready to dual boot) and the price was pretty sobering. Ditto, nearly to the penny for a MacBookPro.
