People ARE caught up in the concept. But for Obama supporters, that is a good thing, not a bad thing. I disagree, but I do listen to what they are saying ... Contrary to what Ed seems to think. I just don't hear them saying that they like Obama because of what he is done so much as what he represents to them. The arguments I hear all seem to revolve around symbolism.
