Hi Paul, > The other major operating systems simply make it impossible for a normal user to do anything damaging in system folders. Show them all the files, but don't let them modify them.
How exactly is this any different from what Windows does in the past 10 years? You can only modify files in the Windows folder when you are logged in as an Administrator. For two years now you even have to confirm this action when you are an administrator. And even then the system will restore the core components automatically. As a normal user you have read-only access in Windows except for your home directory and the public folder. -- Christof _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/7a868a48ef904a9a9157828a338bb...@fpl5 ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
