The battery for PTR1 is a custom device available directly from Plextor or 
one of the PTR1 dealers for approximately $60.  The battery is actually 
listed on the plextalk.com site,  but the info is hidden somewhere and 
yesterday I couldn't find it when I looked for it.  Perhaps Nori can post 
here the detailed info.

I bought the Ptr1 second hand - around 6 months old so have to source the 
battery elsewhere.

No dealers at all in Australia (as usual) so makes things harder.
