Ok, Ed back here again. What bran of cd's are you using? If you are
using memorx disks, that might be the trouble. I had the same
problem, and it was also making some strange noises through the
speaker. I got a set of tdk's and some maxil disks, and the problem
went away. Try keeping your discs clean as possible, and stick
with the main brans.
