Yes, That was one of the things I did first. Then after that I
started doing a hard reset, by shutting down the machine, and at the
same time holding the heading button.. I would stick with disks that
are rated for 8 x or 10 x speed.... Remember, the ptr1 is only
rated at 4 x speed, and plays at 6 x speed.
