Agreed. After sending out the second, still slightly broken diff, I realized that I probably needed to read up on the process. You can find the issue tracked here: http://bugs.python.org/issue7784 Florent Xicluna suggested applying my patch to 2.x, instead of 3.x, and was kind enough to fix up my tab/spacing issues. > Putting the > patch code > up on Rietveld is also a good step in helping potential > reviewers (I > believe there is some info on using Rietveld in the dev > FAQ). Ok, I will look into Rietveld tomorrow. > The patch may still end up being rejected, but I know I at > least am lot > less opposed to the idea than I was when this thread > started. > Thanks for the encouragement. Regardless of the outcome, this has been a good learning experience for me. I haven't touched gdb in over a decade; it was actually kind of fun to debug some C code. As I mentioned earlier, Python has totally spoiled me for other languages, including C! _______________________________________________ Python-Dev mailing list Python-Dev@python.org http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/python-dev Unsubscribe: http://mail.python.org/mailman/options/python-dev/archive%40mail-archive.com
