Just a word of caution. Please be careful in your assumptions about the person who raised the matter with me. It is someone I have known for many years and for whom I have a good deal of respect. This is the reason I have raised the matter on this list. If he were a pain in the "parts of the human anatomy that it would not be correct for me to mention by name on list inhabited by such sensitive souls as subscribe to this one", I would have ignored him. At the moment for want of a better alternative I shall stick to "punter". It is probably now safe to reveal a nasty outbreak of Quanta PC at QL is 21. It was the nearest I have ever been to a stand up confrontation with JM, and you may judge for yourself which of the two of us was the most politically correct. An important part of the planning of QL is 21 was a "lady's programme". On the website I wanted to use the term "partner programme", which I felt was the better modern usage. JM objected to this.
