Hi, Thanks for trying it. The program does not produce a window until it has read the CD directory. If it fails to read the directory it may continue to retry but will not produce a window. It should timeout but this is not absolute. If it is trying and failing to locate the first sector of the CD you may hear the CD speed reaching a peak, slowing and then speeding up again. If that is happening the CD may not be in ISO9660 format as I understand it.
To find out where it is failing run the SBASIC program CDRom_explorer_bas as SBASIC (REM out the 3 lines opening SBASIC windows at the start). When the program locks use CTR & DEL to identify which procedure it is in. If you let me know the line number I can identify what happened. The procedures in this program are the same as in the GUI but minus the GUI. The program start without error, the CD run , but nothing appear on the screen also if the program run in the background. (the command jobs show it) To be honest i spent on it very few time and now i am away from home and i have with me only qpc. I will try again next week end.
