Again all DEM data is processed top first, bottom last. With the logic 
consequences for finding a matching 
elevation and the draw order.  


With the track filter it's a bit tricky indeed. QMS will start to search the 
tabs for a canvas and if a DEM on 
that canvas matches, the value is used. That is not perfect, I know. But I did 
not want to have several GIS 
workspaces attached to canvases as the original idea was to view your data on 
different map views. 

So far I never had a problem with that, as the DEM setup is the same for all 
views. In contrary to maps 
available DEM data is very limited. I have very good data for Bavaria from the 
local authorities, Ferranti's 
SRTM data for the Alps and EUDEM data for the rest of Europe. In this order for 
every view. 

So it's a bit confusing, but not really a big deal.
