First of all thanks for your attention and fast responses, and sure, is
more reasonable to split the previous message by themes as you have done
Concerning this theme of hiden dialogs I forgot to say that I have been
testing on Linux Mint 17, 64 bits, with the cinnamon desktop.
Based on your guideline I have tested opening a new session with the KDE
desktop, and with the KDE desktop the problem is gone. I only can reproduce
it in cinnamon, and in mate sessions, and only with certain dialogs.
Here is a little list with the only purpose of give more information:
(yes = I can click out of the dialog and miss the focus)
Setup maps path - yes
Setup map font -no
Setup units-no
Setup grid - yes
select grid color -yes
projection wizard-yes
setup mapview-no
it could be a problem with mate and cinnamon, or even it could be a local
problem in my machine, so don't give it importance.
