Did you setup your Maildir with maildirmake? Try to telnet to your
POP-daemon ("telnet localhost 110"), enter USER name <-| PASS passw <-| and
see what happens.
Did you set your MAIL-variable to $HOME/Maildir/, the complete path should
be given.
