from fts(3):scandir() and alphasort() are BSD only API's (and look to be simple convenience functions that could be easily coded anyway). As for the fts functions, I think they're BSD only, not even linux.
STANDARDS
The fts utility is expected to be included in a future IEEE Std
1003.1-1988 (``POSIX.1'') revision.
