I have an unusual and unevied vantage point. The moderator in many instances
is VERY aware of hubbub on the list....even if he doesn't read the list.
It's very simply...if a person who is on the special "Censorship of the person,
regardless of the content of that person's messages" watch list, and that person
is participating in the hubbub...then the moderator sees some of what's going
on.
Putting it another way, the moderator can only not notice what's going on with
the list if he/she makes an effort to ignore it....and this moderator very
carefully watches certain people.
The hubbub on the list can be solved, if it has to be solved, if the moderator
is proactive, instead of reactive.
This moderator apparently preferes to single out certain people for censorship
and doesn't moderate until it comes to the edict stage.
While I wouldn't "vote" for it, I see no crisis, conspiracy or secret agenda
in this 'boneheaded' proposal.
I beleive there are folks who would disagree with your premise(other than the
fact that boneheaded may be a good description.
