So here's my latest stupid idea. The floor under the seats flexes with
a pop-pop kind of noise. This usually happens with a passenger in the
car and under acceleration.

The Q boys do a retro fix of the strengthening sections fitted to the
later chassis.

Do you think that if I replaced the 3/4" spacers under the seat frame
with lenghts of aluminium (for weight saving) that run from the wall
at the back to the strengthening crossmember and popped a couple of
extra bolts in - that it would stop the flex?

Do you think square section 3/4" ally would be strong enough - or
would solid bar be better.

Or am I just rambling...
