The other consideration is that if you are insured you can take the car to any MOT station, provided you have an appointment, which might get round a delivery problem if the car was MOT'd somewhere convenient for the new owner. Have mailed the second highest bidder as well just in case they were interested. If I thought an MOT would inflate the value I would do the work but by the time I insure it to get it to the MOT station (or hire trailers etc) I doubt I would recoup significantly more money. The other option is to break the car depending on what the interest in bits may be.
