Right. Actually tap tempo is a better option, as it'll allow more precision in 
controlling the speed, especially for things like rubato where there's some 
flex to the tempo.

Yes that would be cool. But there would have to be a range setting that you 
could change. Otherwise the range would  be from 10 to 480 bpm... 
Yikes! Making small and precise changes would be impossible.
