If a product (however cool etc) is sold as a direct replacement for the bedside radio then the alarm simply has to work, and compared to all the other clever things the Radio does a bit of code that says 'if current time == wake up time then play music' sounds rather bovine to fix.
Some patience will be given but Logitech do concentrate on core functionality and stability of the products before racing off to the new wizardry. Remember that while cool features on marketing brochures may make an initial sale a few upset customers ranting on forums like this can undo a lot of hard work.
